Talent

Everybody has a talent in life. Some people get to boost it and others don’t. On the other hand, some people have a talent and deserve it, and others don’t. Ability and talent for doing something are gifts that we receive when we are born. Some people have time to develop them and others don’t. But the question is; is it a choice for some people to develop their talent and for others, we wonder, do they not do so because they consider them to be useless within the world of utilities and capitalism?
This utility is connected with the world of capitalism because to survive in this environment it is necessary to use talents and abilities to earn money. And there are a lot of people who are talented, but they have talents scorned by this world, however, they feel grateful and rewarded for possessing these talents. Can you imagine people moving from their house every day to do what they like? And these people are considered crazy because they want to do what they love even though life imposes other terms.
On TV or Youtube, I’m not sure, in the middle of political marches in Brasil in 2014, I had the opportunity to watch a conversation among a woman and her daughter and two young guys who were debating about professions. The guys were students of Humanities and they asked the woman if her daughter decided to attend the same course as them. The woman answered that her daughter was studying a useful profession and she wouldn’t be a person like them. The woman said that her daughter would be an engineer, a useful occupation.
And I wondered if some of those guys wanted to be actors, possibly the woman would say that an actor is not a useful profession. By the way, the people who enjoy cinema and theatre, are they wasting money when they go to watch shows and artists?
Nowadays, being a talented person is necessary to have the ability to earn money. Then, a lot of people, including famous people, are involved in this easy-money market. In summary, the big talent, the real value in life, is exhibiting a lot of expertise to teach others how it is possible to earn money and be a winner. These strategies are sponsored by influencers and celebrities and their abilities are deceiving people.
As well as these are people who spend money to watch useless talents on a stage, these talents are there only for pleasure. They are brave people who like to exhibit their performances to people who are supposedly full of expertise and convictions. These people in the audience imagine that they are smarter than others. In reality, they are being actors, through the internet, to persuade people. Isn’t it ironic?
Talent is the ability to do special things. Talent invites us to open the package of gifts that we have to try to develop for our pleasure.
Sometimes, we don’t enjoy our talents. We are not interested in them if we don’t see how they could be useful from the perspective of earning money from them. We abandon our talents and become useful people for others. In the end, we will be useful to develop the talents of an unknown person as their employee.
We succumb before the talent of an unknown person, and we are jealous of those who are talented and want to be better and better. Many people hone their talents in order to turn their fantasy into reality. Others can be models for someone and, at the same time, they have abilities to use their talents to humiliate our talents.
Of course, everything that I am saying can be considered impossible. The real revolution inside us is putting a limit on our anxiety. We are healthy when we realize and understand that is more important to have goods within our real possibilities than to try to achieve a goal beyond our skills.
We have to ensure a minimum life for our future and we have to find space to explore our talents as well. It can be simply a hobby, and who knows we can earn money with it in the future.
And we can show that our real talent is not copying others or trying to have what others have, or supposedly have. We have to demonstrate that we are smart to live well and use our talents in the future.
