Where is the different

A long time ago people have been travelling around the world and they have been attracted by souvenirs, pictures, and trip memories because they were exotic and amazing. Today, among friends and relatives, these objects are admired and desired, and they want to live the same experiences to meet different cultures.
Different had a different meaning, years ago. If we make contact with the unusual, we will be surprised with things which we have never imagined to exist.
But what does different mean nowadays?
The world is totally connected. Our communications are faster because we have a lot of computers that connect the world together, and they build a big network. Language has created a wall that has prevented people to connect and understand differences. But now, this obstacle, finally, feels down. Google, the new language of humanity, connects people and shows us that different isn’t what divides humanity, but shows us another concept of being equal. Being equal is not having the same identity; on the other hand, being different mustn’t be superiority overcoming inferiority.
The Internet is a modern tool to connect people. This channel of identity looks for the difference. Globalization makes the different adopt ways of life, behaviours from others, create different groups inside of many cultures, e.g. members of a community who decide to adopt an East belief, even if they live in a Christian community, or different eating habits, unusual for a community, like vegans, vegetarians, and others.
How is it different in the world right now?
Mankind seeks the different, but it will avoid it if it is closer. It will be an object of aversion if people see the different living in their neighbourhood.
If a land had existed without differences, we couldn’t touch it, smell it, see it, or hear it because it would exist only in our imagination, beyond our common sense. To understand what is different in humanity, we have to understand the arts, the origin of exotic objects, perfumes, to know the human essence and live situations that don’t fit our habits, like music and its instruments, sounds from other cultures, dances, clothes, and exotic foods.
We live in a world looking for equality. In a world where Indians wear traditional clothes mixed with Western jeans. In the West, people try exotic tastes from the East placed on their tables. Then, the search for the different goes on.
Throughout time, our angry feelings have increased among classes. Nowadays, the differences have turned some people who believe in equality, fraternity; on the other hand, some want to divide the world. Different, today, it’s abnormal.
