The genius and the insane
At the edge of insanity, we can find genius.
Being a genius means being ahead of your time, and a genius speaks a language that seems inadequate to express what they are feeling or thinking. A genius creates new words to explain the world beyond our existence, and our commonplace understanding. In short, we use words in life to define objects or situations, but words, in dictionaries, are just letters These words can transform into other words when manipulated by geniuses within their universes.
A genius does not see the world as we do, because they perceive it from another perspective. From this position, reality seems different and a genius becomes a scathing critic of our comfortable structures. A genius disturbs us because they question our worldview, which is limited by language and words. We have been living our lives as if we were merely continuing an existence, and a genius doesn’t. Their minds question the comfortable meanings of words, and to them, words and language are not simply a combination of letters to forge an image. Since words were created, there have been countless ways to write them with different meanings.
This is why a genius argues and challenges the world. They ask the words, “What are they doing here?” We insult our intelligence when we disseminate old speeches, without questioning them. Time changes and geniuses evolve with it, unlike most of us. A genius is more connected with change than ordinary people, and it must be terrible to live like that. A genius lives in a world where people replicate their fathers’ ideas and pass these ideas to their children. So, insanity depends on which side of the wall people live.
A genius is a troubled person. They bother others and themselves with their way of life. They fight against the world and do things nobody else does, and sometimes not even knowing which path to follow. A genius surprises people like a mad guy walking the streets speaking nonsense. On the other hand, a genius can be a quiet and reserved guy. In these moments they are dangerous. No one notices their presence, meanwhile, they continue gathering the effects of others’ ignorance. A true genius does not fight with angry people or irritate them because they ignore them. Ignorant people need an audience to exist, and they feel uncomfortable when they encounter someone who rejects their ideas or conclusions.
Insanity is the only defence of a genius.
Geniuses may seem like solitary people sitting in a corner. From there, they unsettle people simply because they exist. Ignorant people recognize genius and they get bothered because a genius nearby them is a constant challenge
At the edge of insanity, a genius becomes the reference point for classifying the speeches of ignorance. Ignorant people know their place, surrounded by ignorance and insanity. In this sense, insanity is not similar to the state of either geniuses or ignorant people.
