God loves atheists
If we are God’s children, then I’m sure that atheists are as well. We don’t know whether God loves those who believe in him more than those who don’t.
A father has children with different behaviours, and he raises them within his own economic and social circumstances. Usually, a father will always admire his children. Some of them want to be just like him, while others wish to choose their own goals or be different. In this way, the latter may displease him. With these questions, we wonder who is the most loved or the least loved.
In life, some children behave like rebels and provoke their families. Children who are distant from their fathers, either geographically or ideologically, may actually be the most loved by their fathers, because they wait for the day of their return. The prodigal son, who abandons his father’s teachings and chooses to follow his own path, will always remember what he once learned.
God gave us the ability to think. Some haven’t had the opportunity to study and develop their talents. Others use these gifts to reject what they have learned, or try to solve the mystery of life by themselves.
“Where is God?” People wonder.
For some, God is everywhere, but only a few, according to their beliefs, fell able to see him and believe in his existence, regardless of the arguments to the contrary.
Others treat the mystery of life as an adventure, a journey of eternal searching. The mystery of life is something that science cannot explain. Atheists don’t look for mysteries to find God, and yet, ironically, they may find him. They might even search for him within science. They reject God’s existence, arguing that if he is logical, then only logic can prove his existence. They use strong reasoning to question and debate this. Even so, they might be the most loved, because they strengthen the faith of those who do believe. God smiles at atheists because they are the ones who use their minds to show that true wisdom comes from questioning.
God is both mystery and contradiction, and the mystery of his existence lies in the debate about him; and the result is that everyone is drawn together. Atheists don’t question God himself; they question his existence as a myth, because they don’t believe in myths. Rational people search for him beyond our humanity and beyond myths. And if God is not a myth, he will gather everyone, whatever they are.
