Building ideas

Suddenly, we are alone, and our imagination flies beyond reality. Like the infinite space, it expands and floods our brains like water in an open field. Our imagination works like drugs, filling up spaces in our bodies.
If we build towers to reach the top, we must build them on a strong foundation. Our dreams are like towers, and they are not easy to build and turn into a reality. We cannot dream or imagine our future in the void; we need to start from something real.
Dreams are good things. They help us disconnect from reality, which is, sometimes, a storm of anguish that drains our souls.
We use our imagination because it brings us comfort. We manipulate it to move back or forward in time. Imagination works as an additional memory, where we can be or do anything we want. It is both the playful child and the adult working together. It connects dreams to reality.
We play this game all the time, because it brings us a little happiness.
Is it good for us to live in unreality? Of course not. In short, we are stuck in this unreal world when we build tall towers without any support. Some people understand this; others do not.
On social media, some people show a life they don’t really have. I remember once seeing a young woman sitting alone on a bench in a shopping mall. She looked sad and was quietly watching everything around her. She took out her phone, smiled into the illuminated screen and took a selfie. Then she sent the photo, and her face became sad again.
We are living in a false reality, something that philosophers and scholars have spoken about. We can perceive this alternate universe when we compare life on social media with real life. Some people truly believe that our real world doesn’t exist and that we are living in an age of fantasy. This is happening right now. People share their lives in exchange for likes. What others think has become important to their existence. But as I said before, tall towers need a starting point, and certain people keep trying to build theirs from unreality, where there is no support for them.
In the past, unreality belonged to scholars, artists and other professionals. They had admirers or followers who agreed with their ideas.
Nowadays, everything is mixed together: reality and unreality. Many people chase likes to impress careless people and ignore real life. Both conscious and unconscious people are caught in this storm. With imagination, anything is possible, and we can become anything. In this unreal world, many people talk and argue about things they know nothing about. Anonymous users dare to argue with experts using meaningless points.
With imagination, we can pretend to be anyone; the best, the most desired. But, in reality, everything is short-lived. The question is: are there people refusing this unreality, giving up prestige, status and attention, to build towers from the ground up?
